McCauley Angus - A Kentucky Tradition
About Us
(Tim) and Nell Withers McCauley are natives of Cynthiana, Kentucky, where their parents and grandparents developed their values and agriculture roots. They are passing those roots and values onto their children, Destiny and Adam, who are an integral part of our operation and provide a fresh perspective to our business. The business serves as a chance to learn life lessons and grow into successful adults. The McCauley family has farmed the same land in Cynthiana dating back to before Kentucky was a state.
Tim has been working cattle since he took his first steps. He showed polled Herefords during his school years and then went on to become a champion professional cattle fitter. His acquaintance with Angus cattle was developed while managing Black Crest Farms in Sumter, SC, for W.R. “Billy” McLeod; for eleven years until 2008, he started McCauley Angus and Cattle Service.
The Angus business was originally a breeding herd of Certified Angus Cattle humanely raised without hormones or antibiotics on pasture land.
“We began raising beef for our family because I could not find the same quality in the store. We also shared it with family and friends, who then wanted some for their own freezers. The word began to spread, and soon McCauley’s Angus Beef was born”
This is a family operation, and we hope we can serve you in the future.
