McCauley Angus - A Kentucky Tradition
About Us
(Tim) and Nell Withers McCauley are natives of Cynthiana, Kentucky, where their parents and grandparents instilled strong values and deep agricultural roots. Those same roots and values continue today as they work alongside their children, Destiny and Adam, who are integral to the operation and bring a fresh perspective to the family business. The farm serves as both a livelihood and a place to learn responsibility, work ethic, and life lessons that shape future success.
The McCauley family has farmed the same land in Cynthiana since before Kentucky became a state, and that legacy remains central to everything they do.
Tim has worked with cattle since he took his first steps. He showed Polled Herefords during his school years and went on to become a champion professional cattle fitter. His experience with Angus cattle was further developed while managing Black Crest Farms in Sumter, South Carolina, for W.R. “Billy” McLeod. After eleven years there, Tim founded McCauley Angus and Cattle Service in 2008.
Today, the operation focuses on show cattle, herd development, and bull sales, with a strong emphasis on quality, structure, and performance. The McCauleys have experienced success in the Angus show ring with cattle bred and owned by their family, reflecting a long-term commitment to thoughtful herd development and hands-on management.
This remains a true family operation, and we look forward to serving fellow breeders, exhibitors, and cattlemen for years to come.
